Kayla discovered the journey of yoga over 10 years ago. After taking her first class, she immediately fell in love with yoga. Kayla’s classes include Yin and Yang Flow, Mindful Flow, Hatha Yoga and Pilates.

It only took a few years until she developed a serious relationship with her yoga practice. Yoga has transformed Kayla’s life in every aspect. In 2005, she completed her 200-hour teacher training in Sampoorna Yoga under the guidance of Shri Yogi Hariji in Miramar, Florida. She taught private clients and group classes at local studios and wellness centers in Fort, Lauderdale FL.

Kayla teaches her classes from the heart creating an uplifting energy flow, and focusing on alignment and hands-on adjustments. She motivates and inspires students to connect with their inner self using breath, movement and body awareness; this helps students explore and reach their true potential. Kayla loves teaching classes that cultivate strength with stretch in Hatha and Vinyasa style flow. She is also a firm believer that Yin classes help to add balance to today’s hectic and technology heavy world.

Alissa’s classes include Basic Yoga, Yoga Flow, Yoga Nidra and Restorative Yoga.

Alissa’s love for yoga began at home in 2002 with a VHS tape she found at a yard sale.  She quickly realized that every day she practiced yoga was a guaranteed good day.  After 10 years of a practice at home she noticed that yoga was the only consistent part of her life, everything else had changed.

In 2012 she attended the Southwest Institute of the Healing Arts in Tempe, AZ where she received her 500 hour Yoga Teacher Training under the guidance of Laura McKinzie and Jane Gleason.  It was there she also became a Gong Master by Hatha-Gong creator Duane Armitage.

What made the biggest impact on her was the Amrit Method of Yoga Nidra training by Kamini Deasi.  Shortly after experiencing the power of this relaxation technique, she found it easy to fall asleep at night, had less anxiety, and felt in control over her moods.  She had lived with insomnia, anxiety, and depression for many years and suddenly these issues were showing up less and others began to notice as well.

When attending one of Alissa’s yoga classes she will guide you to show up on your mat as you are, without judgement or commentary, just be. As you deepen your connection with your body through the practice of yoga and breathing techniques, then you are able to tune in to the stillness at your center, which is always there.  Within the stillness there is silence, within the silence there is space. Space of mind, where the intuition can be heard, and answers arise to questions not yet asked.

Join her on the journey within…
